Jackson Mendoza was a short-lived Australian pop duo consisting of the sisters Natalie (born 1978) and Rebecca Jackson Mendoza (born 1973). Jackson Mendoza's first single, "Venus or Mars", was the first song written by the music production team, the Matrix. "Venus or Mars" was released in October 1999, spent ten weeks on the top 50 of the ARIA Singles Chart, and peaked at No. 24. Natalie Jackson Mendoza (born 12 August 1976) is an Australian actress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her roles as one of the main characters, Jackie Clunes, in the British drama series '' Hotel Babylon'' (2006–2008) and as Juno in the horror film ''The Descent'' (2005), as well as its sequel, '' The Descent Part 2'' (2009). The Matrix (music Producer)
The Matrix is an American-British songwriting and record production team, consisting of Lauren Christy, Scott Spock, and Graham Edwards. In 1999, the production team took on their first project, the Jackson Mendoza song "Venus or Mars"; it was intended to be a one-off project. Christy, Spock, and Edwards enjoyed the songwriting and production process, which prompted them to form a production team. The team chose their name, the Matrix, as they wanted to remain in the background and allow the artists they work with to further stand out. The Matrix's breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of Avril Lavigne's debut studio album '' Let Go'', in which they co-wrote and produced five songs.
