Jackie Vietti
Jacqueline A. Vietti (born July 24, 1948) is an American retired educator, most notably serving as Butler Community College's president in El Dorado, Kansas for nearly two decades. Besides serving as president of Butler, Vietti served as Dean of Instruction at Labette Community College in Kansas, Emporia State University's interim president from June to December 2015, and was Kansas City Kansas Community College's acting president from July 2017 to June 2018. Biography Early life and education Vietti was born on July 24, 1948 in Eureka, Kansas. After graduating high school, Vietti graduated from Kansas State University as a biology major in 1970, Emporia State University in 1971 with her secondary teaching certificate, and completed her master's of science at Pittsburg State University in 1982. Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is a public two year community college in Wyandotte County, Kansas, United States. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a commission of the North Central Association and the Kansas Board of Regents. History Kansas City Kansas Community College was founded in 1923 as part of the Public School System of Kansas City, Kansas. Emporia is a city in and the county seat of Lyon County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 24,139. Emporia lies between Topeka and Wichita at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 with Interstates 335 and 35 on the Kansas Turnpike. Emporia is also a college town, home to Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College. It is home of two annual sporting events: Unbound Gravel (gravel bicycle races) and Dynamic Discs Open (disc golf tournaments). LCC's main campus is situated in Parsons and satellite campuses are located in Cherokee, Oswego and Pittsburg. The mascot of the school is Chris the Cardinal. El Dorado ( ) is city and county seat of Butler County, Kansas, United States. It is situated along the Walnut River in the central part of Butler County and located in south-central Kansas.
