Jack Wolfskin is a German producer of outdoor wear and equipment headquartered in Idstein. It was founded in 1981 and is now one of the biggest suppliers and successful franchisers of outdoor products including sports equipment, mountain and leisure clothing, footwear, rucksacks, sleeping bags, and tents. Skyrager GmbH, which also has its registered address in Idstein, is the general partner of the Partnership, limited by shares (KGAA). History Jack Wolfskin was founded as a trademark of the company Sine in Frankfurt am Main by Ulrich Dausien in 1981. With proceeding success Jack Wolfskin was incorporated separately from Sine. In 1991, the company was sold to Johnson Outdoors. Jack Wolfskin had supplied only specialist shops until the first own shop was opened in Heidelberg in 1993. Wolfgang Niedecken
Wolfgang Niedecken (, ; born 30 March 1951) is a German singer and musician. He founded the Kölsch-speaking rock group BAP at the end of the 1970s and soon became famous with BAP all over Germany. He is the lead singer and only remaining founding member of BAP. Biography Niedecken attended boarding school in Rheinbach from 1961 to 1970. From 1966 onwards, he played in the school band ''The Convikts'' and ''The Troop''. He studied art at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, graduating in 1974 after a short-term exchange in New York with Howard Kanovitz and Larry Rivers. He remains an active painter who both designs most of the covers of the BAP albums and holds exhibitions of his work. He suffered a stroke on 3 November 2011.
