The 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was the 52nd edition of the event. It took place from September 30 – November 23 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. A full schedule of 88 live events (plus 11 online events) was held after the 2020 WSOP was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event began on November 4, with the champion being determined on November 17. New events included a $1,000 Flip and Go No Limit Hold'em Tournament, where each player was automatically all-in on the first hand and the winners of the hand will proceed into the money and a traditional tournament structure. There was also be a Poker Hall of Famers Bounty tournament. Each member of the Poker Hall of Fame was invited to play as a freeroll and had a bounty placed on them, with the buy-in for other players $1,979 in honor of the Hall of Fame opening in 1979. Jack Oliver (scientist)
John "Jack" Ertle Oliver (September 26, 1923 – January 5, 2011) was an American scientist. Oliver, who earned his PhD at Columbia University in 1953, studied earthquakes and ultimately provided seismic evidence supporting plate tectonics. In the 1960s, Oliver and his former graduate student, Bryan Isacks, set up seismographic stations in the South Pacific to record earthquake activity, and the data collected led to the insight that part of the ocean floor was being pushed downward. Early life and years at Columbia Jack Oliver was born in Massillon, Ohio, and was a member of the Massillon Washington High School football team coached by future Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Paul Brown. He attended Columbia on a football scholarship, interrupted by his service with the United States Navy as a Seabee in the South Pacific during World War II. Jack Simon Oliver (born 4 January 1991) is a weightlifter competing in the 77 kg category, representing England and Great Britain. Early life Oliver was educated at Eltham College. Career Oliver represented England at the Commonwealth games in Delhi in 2010, and competed in his first World Weightlifting Championships for Great Britain in Paris, France in 2011. That year, he also won the Commonwealth Championship. In 2012 Oliver competed in the European Weightlifting Championships in Bucharest, and was later selected to represent Team GB at the 2012 Summer Olympics. London 2012 Olympics Oliver represented Team GB in the Olympic weightlifting at London 2012, competing in the 77 kg event. Oliver was successful in two of his three snatch attempts at ExCeL, lifting 140 kg on his 3rd attempt. Jack Edward Oliver (19 June 1942 – 26 May 2007) was a British cartoonist. He is more usually known as J. Edward Oliver (or JEO, or Jack). Biography JEO achieved fame in the 1970s with a long-running strip in the UK music paper '' Disc (and Music Echo)'', later ''Record Mirror''. The strip had many fans including John Lennon. It included characters from TV, film and music, with a large section for readers' contributions (Win a Plastic Warthog). Keith Jack "Jackie" Oliver (born 14 August 1942 in Chadwell Heath, Essex) is a British former Formula One driver and team-owner from England. He became known as the founder of the Arrows team as well as a racing driver, although during his driving career he won both the 24 Hours of Le Mans race and the Can-Am championship. Driving career Oliver began a long career in motorsport in 1961, driving a Mini in British club saloon racing. In 1962 and 1963 he raced for Ecurie Freeze in a Marcos GT.
