Jack May
Jack Wynne May (23 April 1922 – 19 September 1997) was an English actor. Early life and education May was born in 1922 in Henley-on-Thames, and was educated at Forest School in Walthamstow. After war service with the Royal Indian Navy in British India, he was offered a place at RADA, but instead went to Merton College, Oxford. Here, with the OUDS, he played parts that included John of Gaunt in '' Richard II'' and Polonius in ''Hamlet''. Career May became familiar on television as the butler William E. Simms in two series of the BBC 1 fantasy/adventure television series ''Adam Adamant Lives!'' from 1966 to 1967. He provided the voice for Igor, long-suffering butler to Count Duckula in the cartoon series of the same name. Butler
A butler is a person who works in a house serving and is a domestic worker in a large household. In great houses, the household is sometimes divided into departments with the butler in charge of the dining room, wine cellar, and pantry. ''Bachelor Father'' is a British sitcom starring Ian Carmichael that aired for two series from 1970 to 1971. It was written by Richard Waring. ''The Space Pirates'' is the Doctor Who missing episodes, mostly missing sixth serial of the Doctor Who (season 6), sixth season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which originally aired in six weekly parts from 8 March to 12 April 1969. In this serial, the TARDIS materialises in Earth's future on a space beacon just before it is attacked by pirates, led by Caven (Dudley Foster). The travellers find themselves trapped in a sealed section of the beacon that is blown apart and flown to where the pirates will plunder it of the precious mineral argonite. The Lord Of The Rings (1981 Radio Series)
In 1981, BBC Radio 4 produced a dramatisation of J. R. R. Tolkien's ''The Lord of the Rings'' in 26 half-hour stereo instalments. The novel had previously been adapted as a 12-part BBC Radio adaptation in 1955 and 1956 (of which no recordings are known to have survived), and a 1979 production by The Mind's Eye for National Public Radio in the USA. Like the novel on which it is based, the radio series tells the story of an epic struggle between the Dark Lord Sauron of Mordor, the primary villain of the work, and an alliance of heroes who join forces to save the world from falling under his shadow. Théoden
Théoden is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy novel, ''The Lord of the Rings''. The King of Rohan and Lord of the Mark or of the Riddermark, names used by the Rohirrim for their land, he appears as a supporting character in ''The Two Towers'' and ''The Return of the King''.
