Jack Little (broadcaster)
Jack Hiram Little (20 December 19084 January 1986) was an American-born Australian media personality, including as a television commentator for GTV-9's broadcasts of the World Championship Wrestling between 1964 through to 1978. Biography Jack Hiram Little was born on 20 December 1908 in Missoula, Montana the second child of John Herman Little (a salesman and amateur vaudeville performer) and Edna Jane née Fife (a teacher). In 1931 Little worked for KJR, an all-sports radio station based in Seattle, Washington, where, in February 1932, he commentated his first professional wrestling show from Everett. During World War II he served in the United States Army, following which he moved to Hollywood, where he worked for KPOL sports radio station, announcing televised wrestling matches from the Hollywood Legion Stadium. The ''Morwell Advertiser'' was a weekly newspaper published from 1886 until 1972 in Morwell, Victoria, Australia. It was initially published on Saturdays, however it changed to Fridays from 1890 until the 1930s when it changed to Thursdays. Name changes The paper started as the ''Morwell Advocate & Boolara & Mirboo Chronicle'' and then became the ''Morwell Advertiser & Weekly Chronicle'' from 1887 to 1888. In 1888 it became the ''Morwell Advertiser''. Sydney Stadium
The Sydney Stadium was a sporting and entertainment venue in Sydney, New South Wales, which formerly stood on the corner of New South Head Road and Neild Avenue, Rushcutters Bay. Built in 1908, it was demolished in 1970 to make way for the construction of the Eastern Suburbs Railway. History Sydney Stadium was built in 1908 on the site of a former Chinese market garden that was leased by boxing promoter Hugh Donald Macintosh as a venue for sporting events. Jim Barnett (wrestling)
James Edward Barnett (June 9, 1924 – September 18, 2004) was an American professional wrestling promoter, and one of the owners of the Indianapolis National Wrestling Alliance promotion, Australia's World Championship Wrestling and Georgia Championship Wrestling. He also served as a federal officeholder during the Presidency of Jimmy Carter. Professional wrestling career Barnett was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Chicago in the 1940s. In 1949, he went to work for Fred Kohler's wrestling magazine "Wrestling as You Like It" in Chicago. He eventually became involved in the operations of Kohler's wrestling promotion. In 1955, Barnett became a part-owner (with Kohler) of the National Wrestling Alliance promotion in Indianapolis. Festival Hall is a heritage listed entertainment venue located at 300 Dudley Street, West Melbourne, Victoria. It is one of Melbourne's larger concert venues and has hosted a variety of local and international acts over many years. In October 2020, Hillsong purchased the Festival Hall venue. HSV is a television station in Melbourne, Australia. It is part of the Seven Network, one of the three main commercial television networks in Australia, its first and oldest station. It launched in time for the 1956 Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne. HSV-7 is the home of AFL coverage. The HSV building (also known as 'Broadcast Centre Melbourne') was the network's operations hub, where the Master Control Room was located, controlling all metropolitan and regional feeds. Programming lineup, advertisement output, feed switching, time zone monitoring and national transmission output was previously delivered there.
