Jack Krumpe
John H. Krumpe (January 26, 1936 – March 22, 2020) was an American sports executive who served as CEO of the Madison Square Garden Corporation, New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, and Javits Center and president of the New York Racing Association, New York Rangers, New York Knicks, and New York Islanders. Early life Krumpe was born on January 26, 1936, on Staten Island. He graduated from Curtis High School and Dartmouth College, where he majored in history and was a member of the football, basketball, rugby, and baseball teams. In 1959 he graduated from the New York University School of Business. Krumpe began his business career with Union Carbide, however, he soon left to join the New York Racing Association's accounting department. Madison Square Garden, colloquially known as The Garden or by its initials MSG, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in New York City. Pete Rozelle
Alvin Ray "Pete" Rozelle (; March 1, 1926 – December 6, 1996) was an American businessman and executive. Rozelle served as the commissioner of the National Football League (NFL) for nearly thirty years, from January 1960 until his retirement in November 1989. He is credited with making the NFL into one of the most successful sports leagues in the world. During his tenure, Rozelle saw the NFL grow from 12 teams to 28, oversaw the creation of large television-rights deals and the creation of ''Monday Night Football'' in 1970, oversaw the 1970 AFL–NFL merger and the creation of the Super Bowl, and helped the NFL move from a twelve-game schedule to a sixteen-game schedule. Jerome Grossman (August 23, 1917 – December 18, 2013) was a political activist and commentator, particularly on the issues of weapons of mass destruction and nuclear weapons. A self-styled "relentless liberal", Grossman played roles in many electoral campaigns and efforts to end the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, raised in Brookline, he lived in Newton for 30 years, then in Wellesley for 30 years. William Arthur Torrey (June 23, 1934 – May 2, 2018) was a Canadian hockey executive. He served as a general manager in the National Hockey League for the Oakland Seals, New York Islanders, and Florida Panthers. He developed the Islanders into a dynasty that won four consecutive Stanley Cups. He was often known as "The Architect", and "Bow-Tie" Bill, after the signature bow tie he always wore. Sol Chick Chaikin (9 January 1918 – 1 April 1991) was an American trade union organizer. He served as president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union from 1975 until 1986.
