Jack Jennings (WKU Basketball)
Jack Jennings (born October 15, 1969, in Covington, Kentucky) is an American-Israeli former basketball player. Standing at 6 ft 5 (1.96 m), he played as forward. High school and college career Jennings played for Holmes High School of Kentucky and graduated in 1988. He averaged 34.4 points in his senior season and scored 41 points in a state tournament game. Jennings was inducted to the Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. He went on to play collegiate basketball with Western Kentucky from 1990 to 1992. There, Jennings averaged 17.6 points and 7.6 rebounds over his two seasons as a started for WKU. Professional career In the 1992–93 season, Jennings played in the Dutch Eredivisie with Donar (named VGNN Donar for sponsorship reasons). He won the Most Valuable Player award of the Eredivisie season. He averaged 26.7 points in his sole season with Donar. Jennings also played in Turkey, Israel and Argentina later in his career. Donar (basketball Club)
Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Donar is one of the traditional first division clubs along with Den Bosch, as it entered the league years ago. The club won the national DBL championship seven times; in 1982, 2004, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Donar was runner-up in the seasons: 1998, 2006, 2011, 2015. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential. The league began in 1960 as the ''Eredivisie'' and was organized by the NBB and later the FEB. In 1977 the league introduced play-offs.
