Jack Harris (1905–1971) was a British film editor, born at Farnborough, Hampshire, South Farnborough, in the England, English county of Hampshire. Along with David Lean, he was one of the leading British editors from the 1930s to the 1950s. He edited half a dozen films directed by Lean in the 1940s. Farnborough is a town in northeast Hampshire, England, part of the borough of Rushmoor and the Farnborough/Aldershot Built-up Area. Farnborough was founded in Anglo-Saxons, Saxon times and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The name is formed from ''Ferneberga'' which means "fern hill". It recounts the tale of a Jew (played by Conrad Veidt) who is forced to wander the Earth for centuries because he rebuffed Jesus while he was carrying his cross.
