Jack Docherty
John Docherty (born 1962) is a Scottish writer, actor, presenter and producer. Career He first performed at the 1980 Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the comedy sketch group The Bodgers which he formed with George Watson's College schoolfriends Moray Hunter, Gordon Kennedy and Pete Baikie. They performed each year from 1980 to 1985. ''Arfington, Arfington'' their 1984 show and ''Mr Hargreaves Did It'' their 1985 show were both shortlisted for the Perrier Comedy Award. In 1982 he dropped out of Aberdeen University where he was studying law, after he and Moray Hunter became staff writers in the BBC radio comedy department contributing to various shows including '' Radio Active'', ''In One Ear'', ''Week Ending'' and ''The News Huddlines''. The Creatives
''The Creatives'' is a British sitcom created by Jack Docherty and Moray Hunter which ran for two series between 2 October 1998 and 16 February 2000 on BBC Two. The series starring Roger Allam, Jack Docherty, Moray Hunter, Pippa Guard, Aislín McGuckin, Arabella Weir and Ricky Callan as the titular people. The Creatives is an advertising agency that has faded from its 1980s heyday. Charlie Baxter is the boss - a one-time whizkid hot shot, now world-weary and seeking solace in liquor and casual sex. Stoneybridge
Stoneybridge ( gd, Staoinebrig) is a village on the island of South Uist in Scotland. The Crois Chnoca Breaca standing stone is situated to the west of the village. Stoneybridge is within the parish of South Uist and the chapel was also situated west of the settlement at Ardmichael, having been in existence prior to 1854. The burial ground is still present at the site. The Scottish comedy series '' Absolutely'' used the name for a village in a recurring sketch, satirising local politics and the petty Bonapartism of local council leaders. ''The Tournament'' is a Canadian television series, which aired on CBC Television in 2005 and 2006. The series, a mockumentary show about a community minor hockey team, depicted the behind-the-scenes interactions between the players, their parents and coaches as the team competed for a spot in the annual youth hockey championship tournament. The cast included Alain Goulem, Paula Boudreau, Christian Potenza, Emily Tilson, Ari Cohen and Cas Anvar. Seven episodes were produced in the 2004–05 television season, airing in the winter of 2005, and ten episodes were produced in the 2005–06 season. Steve Edge (born 2 November 1972) is an English actor, writer and former stand-up comedian. He is most famous for his work on ''Starlings'', ''Phoenix Nights'', '' The Cup'', '' The Visit'', ''Peep Show'', '' Benidorm'' and the satirical magazine show ''Star Stories''. Early life and stand-up Edge was born in Cannock, Staffordshire, England. He attended Stafford College and the University of Salford. He began his career in 1997 and from then until 2004 worked as a stand-up comedian. John Rankin Waddell (born 1966), known as Rankin, is a British photographer and director who has photographed Kate Moss, Madonna (entertainer), Madonna, David Bowie and Elizabeth II, The Queen. The Evening Standard, London Evening Standard described Rankin's fashion and portrait photography style as ''high-gloss, highly sexed'' and ''hyper-perfect''. ''Mr Don & Mr George'' is a Channel 4 sitcom, featuring two characters from the Scottish comedy sketch show '' Absolutely''. Vic Reeves Big Night Out
''Vic Reeves Big Night Out'' was a cult British comedy stage show and later television series which ran on Channel 4 for two series in 1990 and 1991, as well as a New Year special. Its live incarnation marked the beginnings of the collaboration between Vic Reeves (real name Jim Moir) and Bob Mortimer and started their Reeves and Mortimer (also known informally as Vic and Bob) comedy double act. The show was later acknowledged as a seminal force in British comedy throughout the 1990s, the influence of which continued long afterward. Arguably the most surreal of the pair's work, ''Vic Reeves Big Night Out'' was effectively a parody of the variety shows which dominated the early years of television, but which were, by the early 1990s, falling from grace.
