Jack Clayton
Jack Isaac Clayton (1 March 1921 – 26 February 1995) was a British film director and producer who specialised in bringing literary works to the screen. Overview Starting out as a teenage studio "tea boy" in 1935, Clayton worked his way up through British film industry in a career that spanned nearly sixty years. He rapidly rose through a series of increasingly important roles in British film production, before shooting to international prominence as a director with his Oscar-winning feature film debut, the drama '' Room at the Top'' (1959). This was followed by the much-lauded horror film '' The Innocents'' (1961), based on Henry James' ''The Turn of the Screw''. Clayton looked set for a brilliant future, and he was highly regarded by peers and critics alike, but a number of overlapping factors hampered his career. Jack Clayton (American Football)
Jack H. Clayton (January 4, 1915 – January 26, 1997) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Centenary College of Louisiana during the 1946–1947 before moving to Bowling Green, Kentucky to become the head football coach at Western Kentucky State College from 1948 to 1956. Clayton later became the head football coach (1957–1966) and head baseball coach (1967–1968) at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A native of Haughton, Louisiana, Clayton died of congestive heart failure, on January 26, 1997, at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana Shreveport ( ) is a city in the U.S. state of Louisiana. Jack Jamieson Clayton (born 25 February 1999) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Queensland and the Brisbane Heat as a top-order batter. Clayton was offered a rookie contract by Queensland ahead of the 2020–21 season, which was renewed for 2021–22. In May 2022, Clayton was upgraded to a full contract by Queensland. During December 2021 and January 2022, the 2021–22 Big Bash League cricket tournament was impacted with multiple cases of COVID-19 being reported across several of the competing teams. One of the teams to be severely affected by the outbreak was the Brisbane Heat. As a result, only three players in the Heat's original squad were available for their match against the Melbourne Renegades at the GMHBA Stadium in Geelong on 6 January 2022.
