Jack Bruner
Jack Raymond Bruner (July 1, 1924 – June 24, 2003) was a professional baseball pitcher. He played two seasons in Major League Baseball. Signed by the Chicago White Sox in 1949 as a bonus baby, he debuted in the major leagues three days after signing. In 1950, he was traded to the St. Louis Browns. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk.
