Jack Northman Anderson (October 19, 1922 – December 17, 2005) was an American newspaper columnist, syndicated by United Features Syndicate, considered one of the founders of modern investigative journalism. Anderson won the 1972 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for his investigation on secret U.S. policy decision-making between the United States and Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. In addition to his newspaper career, Anderson also had a national radio show on the Mutual Broadcasting System, acted as Washington bureau chief of ''Parade'' magazine, and was a commentator on ABC-TV's ''Good Morning America'' for nine years. Among the exposés Anderson reported were the Nixon administration's investigation and harassment of John Lennon during its fight to deport Lennon; the continuing activities of fugitive Nazi officials in South America; and the savings and loan crisis. Jack Anderson (born June 15, 1935) is an American poet, dance critic, and dance historian. He is well known for his numerous reviews of dance performances in ''The New York Times'' and ''Dance Magazine'' as well as for his scholarly studies in dance history and for eleven volumes of poetry. Early life and education Jack Warren Anderson was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where his father, George, was a motion picture projectionist at a downtown movie theater and his mother, Eleanore, was a hospital administrator. As a youth, Jack took piano lessons and acted in little theater groups before leaving home to go to college. At Northwestern University he earned a bachelor's degree with a major in theater and minors in English literature and philosophy, and at Indiana University he earned a master's degree in creative writing. Jack Anderson (3 March 1909 – 29 June 1982) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family Jack was the older brother of North Melbourne player, Frank Anderson. Football In 1930, Mr. Jack Anderson - Balldale FC, tied for the Peace Medal for the best and fairest player award in the Corowa & District Football Association with W. Hall of Howlong FC. Anderson made his debut for St.Kilda in round eight, 1931 against Footscray at the Junction Oval, eventually playing 42 games and kicking 46 goals between 1931 and 1933. He represented Victoria at the National Football Carnival in 1933. The ''1964 Capital City 300'' was a NASCAR Grand National Series event that was held on September 14, 1964, at Virginia State Fairgrounds (now Richmond Raceway) in Richmond, Virginia. Jack Donald Anderson (born January 10, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. Anderson is a submarine pitcher. Career Amateur career Anderson attended Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Illinois. Undrafted out of high school, Anderson attended Pennsylvania State University and played four years of college baseball for the Nittany Lions. Anderson played for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League in 2015. In his senior season of 2016, he pitched to a 2.14 ERA and 13 saves in innings.
