Jabr (slave)
Jabr was a young Christian slave who belonged to the Banu i-Hadrami tribe of Mecca, ''Jabr'' was later called a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Accusations of informants contributing to Muhammad's recitations were made by his opponents. Jabr is identified by name in one account mentioned by 8th-century Quran story teller, Muqatil ibn Sulayman Muqātil ibn Sulaymān () (d. 767 C.E.) was an 8th-century story teller of the Quran. Jabr Muadi
Sheikh Jabr Muadi ( ar, جبر داهش معدي; he, ג'בר מועדי, born 1 April 1919, died 19 May 2009) was an Israeli Druze politician who served as a member of the Knesset for seven different parties between 1951 and 1981. Biography Born in Yirka in British-controlled Palestine, Muadi was first elected to the Knesset in 1951 as a member of the Democratic List for Israeli Arabs. Although he lost his seat in the 1955 elections, he returned to the Knesset on 13 February 1956 as a replacement for Seif el-Din el-Zubi. He lost his seat again in the 1959 elections. He returned to the Knesset again after being elected on the Cooperation and Brotherhood list in 1961. He retained his seat in the 1965 elections. The following year Cooperation and Brotherhood merged with Progress and Development to form Cooperation and Development. Baqir Jabr Al-Zubeidi
Baqir Jabr Al-Zubeidi ( ar, باقر جبر الزبيدي, Bāqir Jarb al-Zabīdī), also known as Bayan Jabr Solagh ( ar, بيان باقر صولاغ, Bayān Bāqir Sūlāġ), is a former commander of the Badr Brigades who served as the Finance Minister of Iraq in the government of Nouri al-Maliki. He served as Minister of Interior, in charge of the police, in the Iraqi Transitional Government and was Minister of Housing and Reconstruction of the Iraqi Governing Council. He is a senior member of the Shi'a United Iraqi Alliance as well as a leader in the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI). Born in 1946 in the Maysan Governorate, Jabr became a Shi'a activist while studying engineering at Baghdad University in the 1970s. Mujahid Ibn Jabr
Abū l-Ḥajjāj Mujāhid ibn Jabr al-Qāriʾ ( ar, مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ جَبْرٍ) (642–722 CE) was a Tabi‘ and one of the major early Islamic scholars. His tafsīr of the Qur'an (exegesis/commentary) is believed to be the earliest existing written exegetical source, although only fragments of it have reached us from the Umayyad era. Biography He was one of the leading Qur'anic commentators and a translator of the generation after that of the Prophet Muhammad and his Companions. He is the first to compile a written exegesis of the Qur'an, in which he stated “It is not permissible for one who holds faith in Allah and the Day of Judgment to speak on the Qur'an without learning classical Arabic.” He is said to have studied under Amir al-Mu'minin 'Ali ibn Abi Talib until his martyrdom.
