Daechwita
Daechwita () is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while marching or as a static performance. Instrumentation Instruments used include ''nabal'' (brass horn), ''nagak'' (seashell horn), and ''taepyeongso'' (shawm), with '' jing'' (gong), '' jabara'' (cymbals), and ''yonggo'' (hangul: 용고; hanja: 龍鼓; drum painted with dragon designs and played with hard mallets). This style of Korean military music is often used in the reenactment of the Guard Changing Ceremony at Seoul's Gyeongbok Palace, as well as in Deoksu Palace. Halil-Salim Jabara
Halil-Salim Jabara ( ar, خليل سليم جبارة, he, חליל-סלים ג'בארה; 1913–1999) was an Israeli Arab politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Ahdut HaAvoda between 1964 and 1965. Biography Born in Tayibe or Tira during the Ottoman era, Jabara studied at the Arab College in Jerusalem. Between 1932 and 1948 he worked in the Surveyors Office of the Mandate authorities. From 1951 until 1955 he was the director of the Income Tax office in the Triangle area, before serving as director and secretary of the Kupat Holim in Tayibe between 1955 and 1958. A member of the Arab department of Ahdut HaAvoda, he was on the party's list for the 1961 elections. James Jabara
James "Jabby" Jabara (10 October 1923 – 17 November 1966) was the first American and United States Air Force flying ace, jet ace. Born in Oklahoma, he lived in Kansas where he enlisted as an aviation cadet at Fort Riley after graduating from high school. Jabara attended four flying schools in Texas before he received his pilot's wings and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. Jabara flew two tours of combat duty in Europe during World War II as a North American P-51 Mustang pilot, and scored 1.5 air victories against German aircraft. Jabara flew his first jet aircraft in 1948, the USAF Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star before transitioning to the USAF North American F-86 Sabre. Jabara used this aircraft to shoot down multiple Soviet-built Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15, MiG-15 jets during the Korean War. He achieved his first confirmed air victory of the war on 3 April 1951. The Jabara Award for Airmanship, named in memory of Colonel James Jabara (1923-1966), is awarded each year to the United States Air Force Academy graduate whose accomplishments demonstrate superior performance in fields directly involved with aerospace vehicles. Jabara Williams (born July 6, 1989) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Stephen F. Austin. He played high school football at Garrison High School. He also played for the Chicago Bears. College career At Stephen F.
