JavaServer Pages
Jakarta Server Pages (JSP; formerly JavaServer Pages) is a collection of technologies that helps software developers create dynamically generated web pages based on HTML, XML, SOAP, or other document types. Released in 1999 by Sun Microsystems, JSP is similar to PHP and ASP, but uses the Java programming language. To deploy and run Jakarta Server Pages, a compatible web server with a servlet container, such as Apache Tomcat or Jetty, is required. Overview Architecturally, JSP may be viewed as a high-level abstraction of Java servlets. JSPs are translated into servlets at runtime, therefore JSP is a Servlet; each JSP servlet is cached and re-used until the original JSP is modified. Jakarta Server Pages can be used independently or as the view component of a server-side model–view–controller design, normally with JavaBeans as the model and Java servlets (or a framework such as Apache Struts) as the controller. Java Stored Procedure
SQL/JRT, or ''SQL Routines and Types for the Java Programming Language'', is an extension to the SQL standard first published as ISO/IEC 9075-13:2002 (part 13 of SQL:1999). SQL/JRT specifies the ability to invoke static Java methods as routines from within SQL applications, commonly referred to as "Java stored procedures". SQL/JRT also calls for the ability to use Java classes as SQL structured user-defined types. The two parts of the extension originate from the earlier ANSI SQLJ part 1 and 2 standards (not to be confused with SQLJ part 0, which defined an embedding of SQL into Java, later standardized by ISO as SQL/OLB.) Jewish Settlement Police
The Jewish Settlement Police (JSP) ( he, משטרת היישובים העבריים, ''Mishteret Ha-Yishuvim Ha-Ivri'yim'') were a division of the Notrim established in Mandatory Palestine in 1936, during the 1936-39 Arab revolt.Levenberg, 1993, p. 156. History At the end of 1940, the JSP had about 15,000 members. A field army based on the force was estimated to be 16,000 men and women strong in 1946. According to a statement made by the Palestine Government in June 1947 and referenced by the United Nations Palestine Commission, the force itself was 1,929 men strong at the time. In early 1948 the force was about 2,000 strong. The Settlement Police cooperated with the British to form a joint British-Jewish unit known as the Special Night Squads. JSP Records is a British record label, founded in 1978 by John Stedman (John Stedman Promotions), releasing recordings by blues musicians such as Professor Longhair, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Witherspoon, Louisiana Red, Deitra Farr, Charlie Sayles, Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, Kansas City Red, Eddie Taylor, and Big John Wrencher. The label is based in London, England. JSP now predominantly releases remastered CDs of public domain jazz and blues recordings. In the case of old Paramount recordings (including those by Charley Patton and Blind Blake), the original records were made from shellac which made them susceptible to damage. JSP's releases from this material are remastered versions. Their release of Louis Armstrong's ''Hot Fives & Sevens'' is often considered to be one of the most essential jazz releases available. Japan Socialist Party
The was a socialist and progressive political party in Japan that existed from 1945 to 1996. The party was founded as the Social Democratic Party of Japan by members of several proletarian parties that existed before World War II, including the Social Mass Party, the Labour-Farmer Party, and the Japan Labour-Farmer Party. The party represented the Japanese left after the war, and was a major opponent of the right-wing Liberal Democratic Party. The JSP was briefly in power from 1947 to 1948. From 1951 to 1955, the JSP was divided into the Left Socialist Party and the Right Socialist Party. Jai Samaikyandhra Party
Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP; Telugu for "Long live United Andhra Party") was an Indian political party launched by former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy. He launched the party in protest against Government of India's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh through Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill. Its poll plank is self-respect of Telugu people. The party was formally launched at a public meeting in Rajahmundry on 12 March 2014, and promised rollback of Telangana state in the event of JSP winning 25 seats. Its electoral symbol is a pair of slippers. In elections the party failed to win a single seat and lost deposits in many seats. Jana Sena or Jana Sena Party (JSP) (''People's Army Party'') is an Indian Regional political party based in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. It was founded by Telugu cinema, Tollywood actor and politician Pawan Kalyan on 14 March 2014. ''Jana Sena'' means "People's Army" in Telugu language, Telugu. The motto of the party is "fight for the rights of each and every common person". Formation On 12 March 2014, Pawan Kalyan submitted the application to register the party name. Japanese Surrendered Personnel (JSP) is a designation for captive Japanese soldiers (similar to Disarmed Enemy Forces and Surrendered Enemy Personnel). It was used in particular by the British Army to refer to Japanese forces in Asia which had surrendered after the conclusion of the Second World War. Military and other labour The concept of "Japanese Surrendered Personnel" was developed by the Japanese Government and proposed to the Allies at the conclusion of the Second World War. Imperial Japan's field service code and strong social norms prohibited military personnel, including senior officers, from being taken prisoner. The Allies accepted this proposal, as it was also advantageous to them even though the status lacked a legal basis. A soft-point bullet (SP), also known as a soft-nosed bullet, is a jacketed expanding bullet with a soft metal core enclosed by a stronger metal jacket left open at the forward tip. A soft-point bullet is intended to expand upon striking flesh to cause a wound diameter greater than the bullet diameter. Jacketed soft point bullets are usually abbreviated ''JSP'' in the ammunition and reloading industry. Jesup is a railroad station in the city of Jesup, Wayne County, Georgia, United States. Located at 176 Northwest Broad Street, the station is currently in use for service on Amtrak's ''Silver Meteor'' and bypassed by their '' Silver Star''.
