The LPGA of Japan Tour is a professional golf tour for women organised by the Japan Ladies Professional Golfers' Association. It is the second richest women's golf tour in the world. The U.S.-based LPGA Tour is the most important women's tour, but the prize money gap has closed markedly since the American tour's total prize fund peaked at just over $60 million in 2008. While the Japan Tour is the second-most lucrative women's tour, two other non-U.S. tours, the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour, rival the Japan Tour in level of competition. Momoko Ueda
is a Japanese female professional golfer who in 2007 at the age of 21 became the youngest player in the history of the LPGA of Japan Tour (JLPGA) to finish first on the money list. She also played on the United States-based LPGA Tour for six years. Amateur career Ueda was born in Kumamoto, Kumamoto, Kumamoto, Japan. She started playing golf at the age of nine, and entered the prestigious Sakata School at ten. In twenty three amateur events, she placed in the top 10 fifteen times, including three wins, and five second-place finishes. Professional career Ueda turned pro in August 2005 and won the JLPGA rookies cup that year. Yuri Fudoh
is a Japanese golfer. She was the leading money winner on the JLPGA Tour six times in a row from 2000 to 2005. She became the first player on the JLPGA Tour to earn in excess of 100 million yen, a feat she accomplished in 2000, and achieved again in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2003, Fudoh became the first player to win 10 tournaments in a year and she earned more prize money than the leading male player on the Japan Golf Tour. In 2004 Fudoh became the youngest player to earn permanent seeding on the Tour following her 30th career victory at the Golf 5 Ladies Open. (born 2 August 2001) is a Japanese professional golfer. She plays on the LPGA of Japan Tour where she has 10 wins. Career Yamashita was born in Neyagawa, Osaka in 2001 and started playing golf when she was five years old. She turned professional and joined the LPGA of Japan Tour in 2020.
