JJ Lawhorn
Jonathan Wayne "JJ" Lawhorn (born September 1993) in Hanover County, Virginia) is an American country music singer-songwriter. Lawhorn was discovered online by producer Jeremy Stover in 2010. He signed with EMI Music Publishing within a year. He signed a recording contract with Average Joes Entertainment, a record label owned by Colt Ford, in June 2011 when he was 17 years old. Lawhorn's debut album, ''Original Good Ol' Boy'', was released by Average Joes on July 16, 2013. The album was produced by Stover. Lawhorn wrote or co-wrote all thirteen tracks. Matt Bjorke of ''Roughstock'' gave the album four stars out of five, calling Lawhorn "an artist well worth seeking out." The album sold 4,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at number 20 on the ''Billboard'' Top Country Albums chart and number 91 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Hanover County is a county in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 109,979. Its county seat is Hanover Courthouse. Hanover County is a part of the Greater Richmond Region. History Located in the western Tidewater region of Virginia, Hanover County was created on November 26, 1719, from the area of New Kent County called St. Peter's Parish. It was named for the Electorate of Hanover in Germany, because King George I of Great Britain was Elector of Hanover at the time. The Lacs
The Lacs is an American country rap duo that consists of Clay "Uncle Snap" Sharpe and Brian "Rooster" King. At first, the group also featured Brandon Herndon on the three self-released albums on Side Ya Mouth Records. The Lacs have recorded six albums for Backroad Records, a subsidiary of Average Joes Entertainment, an independent label co-owned by fellow country rap artist Colt Ford.
