JGA Nevers
Football Club Nevers 58, also known simply as Nevers, is an association football club based in the town of Nevers, France. The club was founded in 1948 and their home stadium is the Stade des Senets, with a capacity of 1,500. As of the 2010–11 season, Nevers play in the Division d'Honneur de Bourgogne, the sixth tier of French football. History Nevers Football knew its heyday in the 1970s. Notably, the club played twice in Ligue 2, during the 1973–74 season and then in the 1975–76 season. Nearly three decades later, under manager Daniel Bréard, Nevers won the Division d'Honneur de Bourgogne in 2009 and were promoted to the Championnat de France amateur 2, the fifth tier of French football, for the 2009–10 season. Nevers
Nevers ( , ; la, Noviodunum, later ''Nevirnum'' and ''Nebirnum'') is the prefecture of the Nièvre Departments of France, department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regions of France, region in central France. It was the principal city of the former provinces of France, province of Nivernais. It is south-southeast of Paris. The 2010–11 season is the 78th season of competitive professional football in France. The league season began on 6 August 2010 for the Championnat National and Ligue 2 and on 7 August for Ligue 1 and the Championnat de France amateur. The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. At the top two levels of the system is the Ligue de Football Professionnel, which consists of two professional national divisions, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Below that are a number of leagues run by the Fédération Française de Football. At level 3 is the semi-professional Championnat National. 1973–74 French Division 2
The 1973–74 French Division 2 was the 33rd season since its establishment. It was constituted by two groups (A and B) with 18 clubs each. The winners of each group won promotion to the 1974–75 French Division 1. Additionally, the winners met in a two-legged championship play–off. The victor was crowned champion and awarded the trophy. Meanwhile, the runners-up of both groups faced each other in a two-legged play-off, with the victor claiming the last promotion spot. The 2009–10 Championnat de France Amateurs 2 season was the 12th edition of the competition since its establishment. The competition officially began on 15 August and ended in May 2010. The competition consisted of 128 clubs spread into 8 parallel groups of 16. It was open to reserve teams in France and amateur clubs in France, however, unlike the preceding league Championnat de France amateur, both the reserve and amateur clubs are eligible for promotion to the next league, the Championnat de France amateur. The highest-placed team in each pool are promoted, replaced by the 3 lowest-placed in the Championnat de France amateur.
