JD Walter
J.D. Walter (born July 2, 1967 in Abington, Pennsylvania) is a jazz vocalist. Career Walter grew up in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Beginning in 1985, he studied jazz vocals at the University of North Texas, then the Conservatory for the Arts in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In the 2000s, he taught at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He released his first and second albums in 2000. The publication was established in 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. It is named after the " downbeat" in music, also called "beat one", or the first beat of a musical measure. Marvin Sewell
Marvin Sewell is a blues/jazz guitarist, who has been called maybe "the greatest guitarist you've never heard of". He was born and grew up in Chicago, where he attended the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University. Since 1990, he has been based in New York City. He has played with many leading jazz artists, notably Cassandra Wilson, Jack DeJohnette, Lizz Wright and Jason Moran. He also leads the Marvin Sewell Group. Orrin Evans
Orrin Evans (born 28 March 1975) is an American jazz pianist. Evans was born in Trenton, New Jersey and raised in Philadelphia.Lutz, Phillip. "Orrin Evans The Instigator." He worked as a sideman for Bobby Watson, Ralph Peterson, Duane Eubanks, and Lenora Zenzalai-Helm, and released his debut as a leader in 1994. He signed with Criss Cross Jazz in 1997, recording prolifically with the label. He was awarded a 2010 Pew Fellowships in the Arts. In 2017, Evans was named the new pianist in The Bad Plus replacing Ethan Iverson. Evans is married to Dawn Warren Evans, who is his manager and an occasional vocalist. Eric Revis
Eric Revis (born May 31, 1967) is a jazz bassist and composer. Revis came to prominence as a bassist with singer Betty Carter in the mid-1990s. Since 1997 he has been a member of Branford Marsalis's ensemble. His debut album, ''Tales of the Stuttering Mime'', was released in 2004 on his own 11:11 Records. Revis studied under Ellis Marsalis at the University of New Orleans and at St. Mary's University, Texas. He directed the Jazz Ensemble at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 2007 and 2008. Nasheet Waits is an American jazz drummer. Son of percussionist Freddie Waits, Nasheet Waits is a New York native who has been active on the jazz scene since early in his life. Before pursuing a music career, he studied psychology and history at Morehouse College in Atlanta. He also holds a degree from Long Island University in music. While studying at L.I.U, instructor Michael Carvin secured Waits a spot in the percussion ensemble M'Boom, started by drummer Max Roach and Freddie Waits, in 1970.
