The second season of '' JAG'' premiered on CBS on January 3, 1997, and concluded on April 18, 1997. The season, starring David James Elliott and Catherine Bell, was produced by Belisarius Productions in association with Paramount Television. The season, initially starring David James Elliott and Tracey Needham, was produced by Belisarius Productions in association with NBC Productions and Paramount Television. Plot Lieutenant Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr. (David James Elliott), a former naval aviator turned lawyer, is employed by the Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps, the internal law firm of the Department of the Navy. In Washington, D.C., Harm is partnered with Lieutenant Junior Grade Meg Austin (Tracey Needham), a junior officer with drive and determination. Tracey Renee Needham (born March 28, 1967) is an American actress who has acted primarily in television roles such as Paige Thatcher on '' Life Goes On'' (2nd-4th seasons; 1990–1993), Lieutenant Junior Grade (LTJG) Meg Austin on the first season of '' JAG'' (1995–1996), and as Inspector Candace DeLorenzo on ''The Division'' (2001-2003). Biography Needham was born on March 28, 1967, in Dallas, Texas, where her father was a homebuilder. She has three brothers. Meg Austin
Lieutenant, Junior Grade Megan Austin ( USN), is a main character from the first season of the television series '' JAG'' portrayed by actress Tracey Needham. Character Biography Meg Austin was the second partner to Lieutenant Harmon Rabb, replacing then Lieutenant JG Caitlin Pike. She is from Texas and inherited a friendship from her deceased father, an obscure character very well connected in the intelligence community named "Ollie" in clear reference to Oliver North (portrayed by himself on three episodes in 1995, 1996 and 2002), who knew her father and who helped her on some of their investigations. She also proved to have superior computer skills to both Rabb and Kate due to a previous stint in weapons and computer R&D.
