Järnkaminerna
Järnkaminerna (lit. The Iron Stoves) is the largest official supporter club of the sports club Djurgårdens IF. Järnkaminerna is also a nickname for the sports club itself. A common shortened form of the supporters club Järnkaminerna is JK. History The nickname derives from the 1950s when Djurgårdens IF's football division was renowned for their physique and physical training as well as their rough style of play on the pitch. The stripes of the Djurgården jersey, particularly the away colors of blue and dark red, looked somewhat similar to an old-style iron stove, the blue being the iron slats and the red the glow of the fire. After this period the team became commonly known as "Järnkaminerna" (''The Iron Stoves''). Djurgårdens IF Fotboll
Djurgårdens IF Fotbollsförening – commonly known as Djurgårdens IF, Djurgården Fotboll (official name), Djurgården (), and (especially locally) Djurgår'n (), Dif or DIF – is the men's association football department of its parent association Djurgårdens IF. Founded 1891 on the island of Djurgården, the club's home ground is Tele2 Arena, situated in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm. Competing in the highest Swedish tier, Allsvenskan, the club has won the league twelve times and the cup five times. The league titles have mainly been won during three separate eras. The first period was the 1910s, when they won four league titles. The second era occurred in the 1950s and 60s, when Djurgården also won the league four times. Name The club is named after the City Park and borough Djurgården, which originally was a royal hunting park. A direct translation of ''Djurgården'' would be “the animal garden” or "the animal yard". The word ''djur'' means "animal" but has the same etymology as the word “deer”, meaning "deer garden" may have been its original meaning. Expressen
''Expressen'' (''The Express'') is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being '' Aftonbladet''. ''Expressen'' was founded in 1944; its symbol is a wasp and its slogans are "it stings" or "''Expressen'' to your rescue". Overview The first edition of ''Expressen'' was published on 16 November 1944. A main feature that day was an interview with the crew members of a British bomber who were successful in sinking the German ship ''Tirpitz''. A project of Albert Bonnier Jr., Carl-Adam Nycop, and Ivar Harrie – who was to become the first editor-in-chief – Expressen was created in part to push back against "national socialism and related violent ideologies." Djurgården
Djurgården ( or ) or, more officially, ''Kungliga Djurgården'' (), is an island in central Stockholm, Sweden. Djurgården is home to historical buildings and monuments, museums, galleries, the amusement park Gröna Lund, the open-air museum Skansen, the small residential area ''Djurgårdsstaden'', yacht harbours, and extensive stretches of forest and meadows.
