Justin Rogers (defensive Tackle)
Justin Rogers (born September 12, 2001) is an American professional football defensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played for the Kentucky Wildcats and the Auburn Tigers and was selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft. Early life In Rogers's freshman season, he was an immediate starter at right tackle. In Rogers junior season, he was a starter at right tackle, and he notched 22 tackles four loss, seven sacks, and four forced fumbles as a linebacker. Coming out of high school, Rogers was rated as a four-star recruit. Rogers was also rated the top offensive guard and the top player in the state of Michigan. Coming out of high school, Rogers held offers from schools such as Kentucky, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and LSU. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach.
