Justin Jones (born August 28, 1996) is an American football defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at NC State. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. College career Following his senior season, Jones was selected to play in the 2018 Senior Bowl. Professional career Pre-draft On November 29, 2017, it was announced that Jones had accepted his invitation to play in the Senior Bowl. He impressed scouts by showing his agility during Senior Bowl practices and added value to his draft stock. On January 27, 2018, Jones played in the 2018 Reese's Senior Bowl and was part of Denver Broncos' head coach Vance Joseph's South team that lost 45–16 to the North team, coached by Houston Texans' head coach Bill O'Brien. He is currently the Clark County Commissioner for District F since 2019 and served as a member of the Nevada Senate for the Nevada's 9th Senate district, 9th district from 2012 to 2014. He is a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party. Early life and education Jones was born in Granada Hills, California, and grew up in California and Utah. Jones served a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Guatemala. Justin Shea Bautista-Jones (born August 25, 1995) is an American activist and politician from the state of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 52, representing parts of Nashville. As of 2023, Jones is the second youngest member of the State House. He was expelled in April 2023 for violating decorum rules by participating in a gun control protest on the House floor. The Nashville Metro Council voted unanimously to reinstate Jones to serve as an interim representative pending a special election to fill the seat.
