Justin Collins (rugby Union)
Justin Collins (born 1974, also known as Gus) is an Australian born, New Zealand former rugby union player. His usual position was flanker. Collins was born in Tasmania in 1974 and moved to Whangārei in 1984. He started playing rugby for Kamo High School, before progressing to Whangārei club rugby and then provincial rugby for Northland, for whom he made 114 appearances. He was selected for the Chiefs in Super Rugby in 1998. Highlanders (rugby Union)
The Highlanders (formerly the Otago Highlanders) is a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Dunedin that compete in Super Rugby. The team was formed in 1996 to represent the lower South Island in the newly formed Super 12 competition, and includes the Otago, North Otago and Southland unions. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. Nicholas Ian Collins (born 13 August 1976) is a New Zealand former professional rugby union player. Collins was educated at Kamo High School in Whangarei and played his early senior rugby with Hamilton Old Boys after moving to the city to attend the University of Waikato. He was on the books of Waikato but never made an appearance and transferred to the Bay of Plenty at the end of the 2000 season. In 2001, Collins made his representative debut in the World Sevens Series for New Zealand, which was being led by his Bay of Plenty coach Gordon Tietjens. A centre, Collins won a Chiefs call up during the 2001 Super 12 season as an injury replacement for Scott McLeod and debuted off the bench against the Crusaders at Jade Stadium. He didn't feature again that year, then in 2002 made seven Super 12 appearances, including a three-try performance in a win over the Hurricanes at Waikato Stadium in the final round of the season.
