Justice For Peace At Donbas
Coalition "Justice for Peace in Donbas" ( uk, Справедливість заради миру на Донбасі) is an informal alliance of 17 Ukrainian human rights organisations and initiatives. Members of the Coalition have teamed up to document human rights violations that occurred during the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. The Coalition focuses on gathering information about the most serious human rights violations and violations of international humanitarian law in the context of the armed conflict in Donbas. The member organisations of the Coalition maintain and develop common Database which contains information on human rights violations. Thus, the documentation of violations becomes more efficient. The War in Donbas, russian: Война на Донбассе was an armed conflict in the Donbas region of Ukraine, part of the broader Russo-Ukrainian War. In March 2014, immediately following the Euromaidan protest movement and subsequent Revolution of Dignity, protests by pro-Russian, anti-government separatist groups arose in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine, collectively called the Donbas. The Donbas or Donbass (, ; uk, Донба́с ; russian: Донба́сс ) is a historical, cultural, and economic region in eastern Ukraine. Parts of the Donbas are controlled by Russian separatist groups as a result of the Russo-Ukrainian War: the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic. The Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group (KhPG) is one of the oldest and most active Ukrainian human rights organizations. Territorial Defence Battalions (Ukraine)
Territorial defence battalions ( uk, Батальйо́ни територіа́льної оборо́ни, translit=Bataliony terytorialnoi oborony) were volunteer military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the auspices of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence in 2014–2015.
