	Dutee Arnold Dutee Arnold (July 30, 1763 – August 13, 1849) was a justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court from May 1818 to June 1822.Oliver Payson Fuller, ''The History of Warwick, Rhode Island, from Its Settlement in 1642 to the Present Day'' (1875), p. 264.Manual - the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations' (1891), p. 208-13. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, Arnold "was one of the most conspicuous men of the place, and was well-known throughout the State for more than half a century". In June 1817, he was elected an associate justice of the Supreme Court. He took his seat on the bench in May 1818, and continued in office until 1822. He had three children, sons Horatio and Walter, the latter of whom died young, and daughter Marcy, who died unmarried. 	Josiah Arnold (judge) Josiah D. Arnold (November 1, 1820March 10, 1903) was an American businessman, Democratic politician, and Wisconsin pioneer. He was the 16th mayor of Portage, Wisconsin (1877–1881), and represented Columbia County in the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 1878 session. Biography Arnold was born in Washington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Arnold moved to Janesville, Wisconsin Territory, in 1843. He then moved to Columbus, Columbia County, Wisconsin Territory in 1846 and finally moved to Portage, Wisconsin in 1852. Arnold was a merchant and lumber dealer. Arnold served as clerk of the Wisconsin Circuit Court for Columbia County in 1848 and 1849. He then served as register of deeds for Columbia County in 1851 and 1852. Arnold was a Democrat. From 1854 to 1858, Arnold served on the Portage Common Council. In 1877, Arnold served as mayor of Portage. 	Peleg Arnold Peleg Arnold (1751–1820) was a lawyer, tavern-keeper, jurist, and statesman from Smithfield, Rhode Island (now North Smithfield). He represented Rhode Island as a delegate to the Continental Congress in the 1787–1788 session. He later served as the chief justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court from June 1795 to June 1809, and from May 1810 to May 1812.Manual - the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations' (1891), p. 208-13. 	Thomas Arnold (Rhode Island) Thomas Arnold (13 June 1795 – 12 June 1842) was an English educator and historian. He was an early supporter of the Broad Church Anglican movement. As headmaster of Rugby School from 1828 to 1841, he introduced several reforms that were widely copied by other noted public schools. His reforms redefined standards of masculinity and achievement. Early life and education Arnold was born on the Isle of Wight, the son of William Arnold, a Customs officer, and his wife Martha Delafield. 	List Of Justices Of The Arkansas Supreme Court The following is a list of justices of the Arkansas Supreme Court. Article VI, Section 1, of the Arkansas Constitution of 1836 established a Supreme Court; Section 2 declared it would consist of three judges, including a chief justice. The Reconstruction Constitution of 1868, which placed the state under military control, added two justices; the Arkansas Constitution of 1874 rolled back the expansion, but stipulated that once the population of the state should "amount to one million, the General Assembly may, if deemed necessary, increase the number of judges of the Supreme Court to five." In 1889, the population milestone was reached, and the legislature authorized a total of five justices. Constitutional sanction of the enlargement came in 1924 with voter approval of Amendment 9, which also allowed for the future legislative creation of two additional judgeships.
