Junkie Tour
The Junkie Tour is the second concert tour by Canadian American recording artist, Alanis Morissette. The tour promoted her fourth studio album, ''Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie''. Beginning January, the tour played over 100 shows in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa. Morissette took a break in the tour to co-headline a North American tour with American recording artist, Tori Amos. The tour was known as the 5 ½ Weeks Tour. The tour was extended into places she had never toured in 2000, where it became known as the One Tour. Alanis Nadine Morissette ( ; born June 1, 1974) is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actress. Known for her emotive mezzo-soprano voice and confessional songwriting, Morissette began her career in Canada in the early 1990s with two dance-pop albums. In 1995, she released ''Jagged Little Pill'', an alternative rock-oriented album with elements of post-grunge, which sold more than 33 million copies globally and is her most critically acclaimed work to date. Wide Mouth Mason
Wide Mouth Mason is a Canadian blues-based rock band, consisting of Shaun Verreault (Lead Vocals, Guitar) and Safwan Javed (Percussion, Backing Vocals). Former bassist Earl Pereira was also co-founder of Wide Mouth Mason. The band hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has been active since 1995. Career Wide Mouth Mason took its name from the jar of the same name, and independently released its first album, ''The Nazarene'' in 1996. Although only 2,500 copies were pressed, it still drew interest from the major labels. The band would re-record much of ''The Nazarene'' at Greenhouse Studios. It was released as the album's second single on January 3, 1999. The song distinctly is composed of a verse and chorus in two distantly related keys: C minor and E minor, respectively. Joydrop
Joydrop is a Canadian alternative rock band active in the late 1990s and early 2000s from Toronto, Ontario. The band reunited in 2017. The band consists of vocalist Tara Slone, guitarist Thomas Payne, bassist Tom McKay, and drummer Tony Rabalao. History Joydrop was formed in Toronto in 1997. Rabalao and McKay knew each other through recording sessions and tour work and McKay had seen Payne play live a number of times. Once Payne joined they found Slone by placing an ad in ''Now'' magazine. The band's first CD, ''Metasexual'', was released in 1999 on the Tommy Boy label. Thrush Hermit was a Canadian alternative rock band active in the 1990s, known for their "highly energetic, humorous, and unpredictable performances," as quoted by Vice News. History Thrush Hermit was formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1992 by Joel Plaskett (vocals, guitar), Rob Benvie (vocals, guitar), Ian McGettigan (vocals, bass), and Michael Catano (drums). Esthero ( ; born Jenny-Bea Englishman on December 23, 1978 in Stratford, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who lives in Los Angeles, California. The name ''Esthero'' refers both to the singer and formerly to the two-person team of herself and producer Doc McKinney. Esthero is a portmanteau of "Esther the hero"; she claims to have gotten the name by combining the name of the heroine (Esther) and last line ("If I am to be the hero, then I cannot fly from darkness") of the film from Sylvia Plath's novel ''The Bell Jar''.
