Juninho (footballer, Born 1986)
Paulo Roberto Valoura Júnior (born 20 March 1986), known as Juninho Valoura or just Juninho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for América Mineiro. Club career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Juninho started his senior career with neighbouring Serrano in 2007. Late in the year he moved to Duque de Caxias, and went on to feature regularly for the club in the following seven seasons, only split by a loan deal at América Mineiro in 2013. In June 2014, Juninho opted not to renew his contract with Duque and signed for Tombense. After finishing the year as a starter and champion of the Série D, he agreed to a contract with Macaé. One of the spotlights of the 2015 Série B, Juninho signed a contract with fellow league team Bahia. An undisputed starter for the campaign, he contributed with six league goals in 33 appearances as his side returned to the main category after two years. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons. It is the second tier of the Brazilian football league system. Although not having been played annually since its founding in 1971, the competition format has changed almost every season. Copa Rio (state Cup)
The Copa Rio ( en, Rio Cup) was founded in 1991 by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation to decide one of the Rio de Janeiro's Copa do Brasil representatives of the following year (the other being the Campeonato Carioca champion). If the state champion had also won Copa Rio, the representative would have been the tournament runner-up. However, in 1995 the Brazilian Football Confederation established the possibility of a club being invited to dispute Copa do Brasil, and, as a consequence of this, Copa Rio ended up not being interesting for the big teams, so it was discontinued. In 1996 and 1997, the competition was replaced by a similar competition disputed only by Rio de Janeiro state countryside clubs, commonly known as Copa do Interior (Portuguese for ''Countryside Cup''). Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state.
