Julien Libeer
Julien Libeer (born in Kortrijk in October 1987) is a Belgian classical pianist. Libeer has won several awards for his compositions, and regularly performs his works at a variety of international stadiums. He is the host of Belgian television show ''Studio Flagey Klassik'', a television show about classical music. Biography Education and studies As a child, Libeer developed a keen interest for classical music, ranging from opera, orchestra, and chamber music. At four years old, he aspired to become a conductor after watching Leonard Bernstein conducting West Side Story. He decided to become a pianist only after discovering Romanian pianist and composer, Dinu Lipatti. Between 2005 and 2009, Libeer studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (along with Daniel Blumenthal). Gerhard Schulz (musician)
Gerhard Schulz (born 23 September 1951) is an Austrian violinist, conductor and academic. Life Born in Linz, Schulz was born as the fourth child of a family of musicians and studied with Franz Samohyl at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Sándor Végh at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and Shmuel Ashkenasi in the USA. He was involved in the founding of the Salzburg String Trio and the Schulz Ensemble and was first violinist of the Düsseldorf String Quartet. Since 1980 Schulz has been Professor of Violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and since 1993 he has also been Visiting scholar for chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
