Jessa Khan
Jessamine Jada Khan (born 8 October 2001), often shortened as Jessa Khan ( km, ខាន់ ចេសា, Khăn Chésa ), is an American-born Cambodian jiu-jitsu athlete. She is the 2023 IBJJF World Champion. Career Khan represented Cambodia at the 2018 Asian Games and claimed a gold medal in the women's 49kg ne-waza event. This was also the first gold medal to be received by Cambodia which happened to be unexpected in the sport of ju-jitsu during the 2018 Asian Games. Khan is a second Gold Medal Cambodia's Asian Games history after Taekwondo Gold 2014. She is a daughter of a Mexican American mother with Cambodian American father. Margarita "Meggie" P. Ochoa (born May 6, 1990) is a Filipino jujutsu practitioner. She competes both in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and the standard form of the discipline. Education Ochoa was born on May 6, 1990 to Jobert and Lee P. Ochoa She studied at Saint Pedro Poveda College for her basic education, graduating from the school in 2008. For college, she attended the Ateneo de Manila University, where she graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business management. She was part of her university's track team. Career Early years After graduating from college, Ochoa took up mixed martial arts (MMA) but she was deterred by the lack of opponents in her weight class at the time. Annie Ramirez (born November 25, 1990) is a Filipino jujutsu practitioner. She competes both in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and the standard form of the discipline. Education Ramirez attended the University of Santo Tomas 2009-2014 (undergrad) . Career Ramirez was originally a swimmer, before taking up judo while at university. She would later learn jujitsu from judoka and Southeast Asian Games multi-medalist John Baylon. Ramirez would represent the Philippines in international competitions. She was a gold medalist for the Philippines at the 2014 Asian Beach Games. She won a gold medal at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan in the women's -55kg.
