Judo At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article details the qualifying phase for judo at the 2024 Summer Olympics. The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 372 athletes coming from their respective NOCs; each could enter a maximum of fourteen judokas, seven each for both men and women per bodyweight category. The host country France reserves a spot in all fourteen individual events, while fifteen places are entitled to the eligible NOCs interested to have their judokas compete for Paris 2024 based on the Universality principle. The remaining judokas must undergo a qualifying process to secure a spot in their respective weight category for the Games through the world ranking list prepared by the International Judo Federation (IJF). The qualification window commenced on 24 June 2022, and will conclude two years later (23 June 2024), with the final eligibility list published two days after the deadline. Judo At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Qualification
A total of athletes could qualify for judo at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Each NOC could enter a maximum of 14 judokas (one in each division). Host nation Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Japan has reserved a spot in each of all 14 events, while twenty are made available to NOCs through a Tripartite Commission Invitation. The remaining judoka underwent a qualifying process to earn a spot for the Games through the world ranking list prepared by International Judo Federation on June 28, 2021, and finalized on 5 July. The top 18 athletes in each division directly qualify, though each NOC is subjected to a limit of 1 judoka per division. Yang Yung-wei
Yang Yung-wei (; Paiwan language: Drangadrang; born 28 September 1997) is a Taiwanese Paiwan judoka. He is the current silver Olympic medalist in the Extra Lightweight event. He also won one of the bronze medals in the men's 60 kg event at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Career Yang was born in Shizi, Pingtung, and raised in Taichung. He began practicing judo while attending primary school, during his third grade year. His mother and two other siblings also had judo experience. Naohisa Takato
is a Japanese judoka. Takato is currently the top ranked judoka in the world in the extra-lightweight division. He became one of judo's most prominent fighters by winning the 2013 World Championships. In the same year, he also won the Masters in Tyumen, and the prestigious Grand Slams in Paris, Tokyo and Moscow. With these successes, Takato was ranked No. 1 in the world in 2013 and 2014. Saint Romaric (died 653) was a Frankish nobleman who lived in Austrasia from the late 6th century until the middle of the 7th century. He and Amatus of Grenoble founded Remiremont Abbey. Biography He was a former Count Palatine in the court of the Merovingian king, Theodebert II. Authorised Neutral Athlete (ANA) is a capacity under which athletes can compete at international sporting competitions without representing their nations, as is standard convention under the Olympic Charter. As of August 2022, only Russian and Belarusian athletes of some sports have competed or are competing within the ANA capacity.
