ExCeL London (an abbreviation for Exhibition Centre London) is an exhibition centre, international convention centre and former hospital in the Custom House, Newham, Custom House area of London Borough of Newham, Newham, East London. Naomi Alejandra Soazo Boccardo (born 19 December 1988) is a visually impaired Venezuelan judoka. She competed in a number of international events, such as the International Blind Sports Federation World Championships, but is best known for being the only Venezuelan, in any sport, to have won a gold medal at the Paralympic Games. She made her Paralympic Games début at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, in the women's up to 63 kg category. Defeating Zhou Qian of China by ippon within less than a minute in her first match, she then defeated Sweden's Elvira Kivi by waza-ari-awasete-ippon in the semifinal. In the final, it took her just three seconds to defeat Spain's completely blind Marta Arce by ippon and win Venezuela's first ever Paralympic gold medal. Nicolina Pernheim
Nicolina Pernheim (born 22 August 1991) is a blind Swedish Paralympic judoka who competes in international level events. She is a triple European champion in the women's middleweight category and has participated at the Summer Paralympics three times. She is highly regarded as one of Sweden's best female judoka. In 2020 she was supported financially by a campaign which raised money from Swedes who bought a particular pillow. Dalidaivis Rodriguez Clark is a Cuban judoka who competes for her country, winning the gold medal in the category at both the 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games. Career Dalidaivis Rodriguez Clark suffers from keratoconus, a degenerative disease which slowly reduces her ability to see. She trains with able bodied Cuban judokas, and does not use anything to improve her vision while doing so to prepare for competition conditions. She competed in Judo in the category at the 2011 Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. Clark won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, England. In 2014, Clark at the International Blind Sports Federation Judo World Cup in Colorado Springs, United States.
