Teddy Riner
Teddy Pierre-Marie Riner (, ; born 7 April 1989) is a French judoka. He has won ten World Championships gold medals, the first and only judoka (male or female) to do so, and three Olympic gold medals (two individual, one team). He has also won five gold medals at the European Championships. He was a member of the Levallois Sporting Club before joining Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017. Personal life Riner was born on 7 April 1989 in Les Abymes near Pointe-à-Pitre, in Guadeloupe, an insular region of France in the Caribbean. He was raised in Paris. Amar Benikhlef
Amar Benikhlef (born 11 January 1982) is an Algerian judoka who competed in the middleweight division. He won the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In September 2021, Benikhlef was suspended for 10 years, until July 2031. Biography After a judoka he coached, Fethi Nourine, was selected to compete at the 2020 Summer Games in the -73 kg weight class, Nourine and Benikhlef each announced Nourine's withdrawal following the conclusion of the draw of competitors. They said the withdrawal was because they were supporting the Palestinian cause by not competing against Israeli Tohar Butbul, a much more accomplished judoka than Nourine and the # 5 seed in the tournament, whom Nourine was drawn to potentially face in the second round, had he won in the first round. The IJF announced his and Nourine's immediate suspensions on 24 July 2021, pending a further investigation, and sent the two of them back home to Algeria from Tokyo. Amel Mekić
Amel Mekić (born 21 September 1981) is a retired Bosnian judoka. He won a gold medal at European Judo Championships in 2011, beating five opponents on a way, including two Olympic medalists Ariel Ze'evi and Henk Grol. Mekić was part of the Bosnian Olympic team at the 2008 Summer Olympics (achieved 9th place after four fights) and at the 2012 Summer Olympics (lost in the first round). He was the Bosnian flag-bearer at both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Mohamed El Assri ( ar, محمد العسري; born August 28, 1975) is a Moroccan judoka, who played for the middleweight category. He won a total of five medals (one silver and four bronze) for his division at the African Judo Championships (2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2011). Ilias Iliadis ( el, Ηλίας Ηλιάδης, born Jarji Zviadauri, ka, ჯარჯი ზვიადაური, on 10 November 1986) is a Georgian-born Greek judoka. He was named the 2014 Greek Male Athlete of the Year.
