Judo At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Qualification
Qualification for Judo at the 2012 Summer Olympics will be based on the world ranking list prepared by the International Judo Federation ("IJF") on 10 May 2012. The top 22 men or 14 women from the world rankings in each division qualify, subject to a limit of 1 judoka per National Olympic Committee ("NOC") per division. Further continental quotas (Europe 25, Africa 24, Pan-America 21, Asia 20 and Oceania 10 across both sexes and all divisions) also qualify subject to an overall limit of 1 judoka per NOC and 2 judokas per division from each continent. Felipe Kitadai (born July 28, 1989) is a judoka from Brazil. He won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics and a gold at the 2011 Pan American Games. He also won gold medals six consecutive times in the Pan American Games Judo Championships: at 2011 Guadalaraja, 2012 Montreal, 2013 San José, 2014 Guayaquil, 2015 Edmonton and 2016 Havana. Judo career Kitadai was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and is a member of the athletic club Barueri in São Paulo and the club Sogipa. He is coached on the Brazil national team by Luis Shinohara and Mario Tsutsui. Hovhannes Davtyan ( hy, Հովհաննես Դավթյան, born November 25, 1983, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR) is a former judoka and current head coach of the Armenian Men's Judo Team. Biography Arsen Galstyan was born on 19 February 1989 in the village of Nerkin Karmiraghbyur in north-east Armenia. His father was a football player, playing for the club Impuls FC Dilijan in the second half of the 1970s and later played as a part of FC Ararat Yerevan.
