Kwon Young-Woo
Kwon Young-woo (also ''Kwon Yeong-u'', ko, 권 영우; born May 4, 1981, in Seoul) is a South Korean judoka, who competed in the men's middleweight category. He captured two golds in the 81-kg division at the Summer Universiade (2001 and 2003), completed a full set of medals at the Asian Judo Championships, and later finished seventh at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Kwon emerged as a frontrunner and a medal contender at the 2001 Summer Universiade in Beijing, China, where he took home the gold in the 81-kg class against Azerbaijan's Mehman Azizov. Two years later, Kwon defeated Spain's Óscar Fernández for an unprecedented second straight gold in his respective division. Kwon qualified for the South Korean squad in the men's half-middleweight class (81 kg) at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by placing third and receiving a berth from the Asian Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Abdullo Tangriev (born 28 March 1981) is an Uzbek judoka. He won a silver medal in the +100 kg category of the 2008 Olympic Games. Early life Abdullo Tangriev was born on 28 March 1981, in Surxondaryo Region. He was engaged with judo from the age 10. From 1995 he started training in Chirchiq Olympics school. Amel Mekić
Amel Mekić (born 21 September 1981) is a retired Bosnian judoka. He won a gold medal at European Judo Championships in 2011, beating five opponents on a way, including two Olympic medalists Ariel Ze'evi and Henk Grol. Mekić was part of the Bosnian Olympic team at the 2008 Summer Olympics (achieved 9th place after four fights) and at the 2012 Summer Olympics (lost in the first round). He was the Bosnian flag-bearer at both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Although he never managed to win either Olympic or World medal, Mekić beat several Olympic and World medalists during his career, including Olympic champion Pawel Nastula, as well as World champions Frederic Demontfaucon, Dennis van der Geest and Luciano Corrêa. Diego Daniel Barreto Cáceres (born 16 July 1981) is a Paraguayan former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Diego is the brother of fellow Paraguayan footballer Édgar Barreto. Career Barreto started his career with the club Cerro Porteño, where he was trained by Modesto Sandoval and was teammates with Aldo Bobadilla. He developed in the youth divisions of Cerro. Hiroshi Izumi ( born June 22, 1982 in Shimokita District Aomori) is a Japanese judoka and mixed martial artist. He has fought in World Victory Road and had a one-fight stint in the Dream promotion for the Dream Light Heavyweight Championship. Izumi also appeared in both Dynamite!! 2009 and Dynamite!! 2010 New Year's Eve events. Background Izumi, was born in Aomori, Japan and comes from a fishing family in the Shimokita Peninsula. His father, who can often be seen spectating his son's judo and MMA matches, still fishes for bluefin tuna at over 70 years of age.
