Juanma (footballer, Born 1980)
Juan Manuel Barrero Barrero (born 27 June 1980), known as Juanma, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and the manager of Mérida AD. He spent most of his 16-year professional career in the Spanish lower leagues. He appeared in 38 La Liga games over three seasons, with Atlético Madrid and Numancia. Club career Juanma was born in Badajoz, Extremadura. After beginning with local side Mérida UD, he moved in 2002 to Atlético Madrid, starting out at their reserves. He played twice with the first team in his first season, then 11 times in the 2003–04 campaign as all goalkeepers (himself, Germán Burgos and Sergio Aragoneses) appeared in roughly the same matches and they eventually qualified for the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Badajoz
Badajoz (; formerly written ''Badajos'' in English) is the capital of the Province of Badajoz in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. It is situated close to the Portuguese border, on the left bank of the river Guadiana. The population in 2011 was 151,565. UEFA Intertoto Cup
The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from (football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point. The tournament was founded in 1961–62, but was only taken over by UEFA in 1995. Initially, the tournament ended with a single champion, who received the Intertoto Cup. Sergio Aragoneses Almeida (born 1 February 1977) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. His professional career, mainly associated with Tenerife, saw him appear in 180 Segunda División games over nine seasons. He added 87 matches in La Liga, also representing in the competition Atlético Madrid and Getafe. Club career Aragoneses was born in O Porriño, Galicia. Germán Adrián Ramón Burgos (; born 16 April 1969), nicknamed El Mono Burgos (), is an Argentine retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, currently a manager. During his 15-year senior career, he played for Ferro Carril Oeste, River Plate, Mallorca and Atlético Madrid, the latter two clubs in Spain. He was an Argentine international from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. After retiring, Burgos worked as assistant coach at several teams under his compatriot Diego Simeone, most notably Atlético Madrid whom they joined in 2011.
