Juan López De Uralde
Juan Antonio López de Uralde Garmendia (born 8 September 1963) is a Spanish politician interested in ecological issues. He was spokesperson of Greenpeace Spain from 2001 to 2010. He was first elected to the Spanish Congress in 2015. He has represented Álava in Congress for Podemos since the 2015 Spanish general election, being re-elected in 2016 and 2019. He is a member of the Green Alliance. Congress Of Deputies (Spain)
The Congress of Deputies ( es, link=no, Congreso de los Diputados, italic=unset) is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament () in Madrid. It has 350 members elected by constituencies (matching fifty Spanish provinces and two autonomous cities) by closed list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. Deputies serve four-year terms. The presiding officer is the President of the Congress of Deputies, who is elected by the members thereof. It is the analogue to a speaker. In the Congress, MPs from the political parties, or groups of parties, form parliamentary groups. Groups must be formed by at least 15 deputies, but a group can also be formed with only five deputies if the parties got at least 5% of the nationwide vote, or 15% of the votes in the constituencies in which they ran. Equo Politicians
Greens Equo (and formerly Q or eQuo) is a Spanish political party founded on 4 June 2011, when 35 Spanish green parties agreed to merge into Equo. It began as a foundation on 24 September 2010 with the goal of becoming "the seed and source of debate about political ecology and social equity, originating a sociopolitical movement". The first election it contested was the 2011 Spanish general election, obtaining 216,748 votes (0.9%), making it the 9th most supported party. The party was fifth in Madrid, achieving representation thanks to the Valencian coalition Compromís-Q, in which Equo participated. At the national elections of 20 December 2015, Equo joined the list of Podemos. This resulted in seats for three Equo candidates: Juantxo López de Uralde, Rosa Martínez and Jorge Luis Bail. 2023 Spanish Regional Elections
Regional elections were held in Spain on 28 May 2023 to elect the regional parliaments of twelve of the seventeen autonomous communities—Aragon, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla–La Mancha, Extremadura, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia, Navarre and the Valencian Community. 737 of 1,212 seats in the regional parliaments were up for election, as well as the 50 seats in the regional assemblies of Ceuta and Melilla.
