Juano G. "Juano" Hernández (July 19, 1896 – July 17, 1970) was a Puerto Rican stage and film actor who was a pioneer in the African American film industry. He made his silent picture debut in ''The Life of General Villa'', and talking picture debut in an Oscar Micheaux film, '' The Girl from Chicago'', which was directed at black audiences. Hernández also performed in a series of dramatic roles in mainstream Hollywood movies. His participation in the film ''Intruder in the Dust'' (1949) earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for "New Star of the Year." Later in life he returned to Puerto Rico, where he intended to make a film based on the life of Sixto Escobar. Juan Hernández García (born 6 December 1994) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Málaga CF as either a right winger or a forward. Club career Hernández was born in Lorca, Murcia, and was a La Hoya Lorca CF youth graduate. He made his senior debut for the club during the 2011–12 campaign, in Tercera División, while still a youth. In 2012 Hernández joined Granada CF, returning to youth football. On 16 July of the following year he returned to La Hoya Lorca on loan, with his side now in Segunda División B. On 8 June 2015 Hernández signed for Getafe CF, being immediately assigned to the reserves in the third tier. Juan Hernández Salas is a Mexican former professional tennis player. Biography Hernández comes from a large family of tennis players, which includes his sister Claudia, who played in the Federation Cup for Mexico. In 1981 he represented Mexico in a home Davis Cup tie against Switzerland, held in Tijuana. The tie was a World Group relegation playoff and was won by Mexico, with Hernández losing his dead rubber singles match to Ivan Dupasquier. A national champion in 1982, Hernández made his only grand slam main draw appearance when he played in the doubles at the 1982 French Open, partnering American Mark Freedman. His best performance on the professional tour came at the 1983 Monterrey Cup, where he reached the quarter-final stage of the singles, with wins over Steve Meister and Andy Andrews. Juan Hernandez Navarrete (born 24 February 1987) is a Mexican professional boxer who held the WBC flyweight title in 2017. Professional career Hernández turned professional in 2004 and compiled a record of 18-1 before unsuccessfully challenging Japanese fighter Kazuto Ioka for his WBC minimumweight title.
