João Victor da Silva Marcelino (born 17 July 1998), known as João Victor, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Série A club Vasco da Gama. Club career Corinthians Born in Bauru, São Paulo, João Victor joined Corinthians' youth setup for the 2017 season, on loan from Coimbra. The club subsequently bought 55% of his economic rights, with the player signing a permanent contract until July 2021. In November 2019, after making his senior debut with the B-team in the Copa Paulista, João Victor was loaned to Inter de Limeira for the 2020 Campeonato Paulista. The Copa Paulista de Futebol, formerly known as Copa FPF, also sometimes called Copa Federação Paulista de Futebol or, in English, São Paulo State Cup, is a tournament organized by Federação Paulista de Futebol Company every second half of the season. The penalty shootout is a method of determining a winner in sports matches that would have otherwise been drawn or tied. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. The Taça de Portugal (; "Cup of Portugal") is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. It is a professional national league organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
