João Aniceto Grandela Nunes (born 19 November 1995) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Casa Pia A.C. as a central defender. Club career Benfica Born in Setúbal, Nunes began his career with S.L. Benfica, joining the club's youth academy at the age of 9. On 6 January 2013, while still a junior, he played his first Segunda Liga match with the reserves, coming on as a late substitute in a 1–1 away draw against C.D. Santa Clara. On 27 March 2014, Nunes renewed his contract until 2019. He scored his first goal in the second division on 20 September 2015, in a 1–0 home victory over Gil Vicente FC. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). Jagiellonia Białystok () is a Polish football club based in Białystok that plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top level of Polish football. The 2018–19 Polish Cup was the sixty-fifth season of the annual Polish football knockout tournament. It began on 7 August 2018 with the first matches of the preliminary round and ended on 2 May 2019 with the final at PGE Narodowy. The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid. Reserve and veteran teams are also eligible, with reserve teams reaching the final on two occasions (and winning it once).
