José Rivera (Peruvian Footballer)
José Daniel Rivera Martínez (born 8 May 1997) is a Peruvian footballer who plays as a forward for Peruvian Liga 1 club Universitario de Deportes. Club career Rivera made his way through the youth ranks of Unión Comercio and, after three years, he was promoted to the first team in the 2016 season under manager Walter Aristizábal. He made his debut on 11 September 2016 in a 1–0 victory against César Vallejo. In May 2017, Rivera scored his first professional goal in a 2–1 victory against Alianza Atlético. He played a total of 22 league games in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In that last season, he did not play regularly due to the good form of forward Cristian Lasso. From the 2018 season onwards, Rivera became a regular player, scoring 7 goals in 31 matches. Tarapoto
Tarapoto is a commercial hub town in the San Martín Province of the Department of San Martín of northern Peru. It is an hour by plane from Lima, in the high jungle plateau to the east of what is known as the ''selva baja'' (low jungle). Although Moyobamba is the capital of the region, Tarapoto is the region's largest city and is linked to the Upper Amazon and the historic city of Yurimaguas by a relatively well-maintained transandean highway, paved in 2008–9. Tarapoto is approximately above sea level on the high jungle plateau, also called the cloud forest. It was founded in 1782 by Baltasar Jaime Martínez Compañón. 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament
The 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament was the 13th edition of the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, the quadrennial, international, age-restricted football tournament organised by the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL) to determine which men's under-23 national teams from the South American region qualify for the Olympic football tournament. In August 2018, CONMEBOL announced the return of the South American Pre-Olympic Tournament in 2020 with Colombia as the host country, after a 16-year absence. The last edition of this competition had been held in Chile in 2004. From the 2008 through the 2016 Summer Olympics, the two teams from South America were determined by the South American Youth Football Championship, always held in the previous year.
