José Posada
José Domingo Posada González (May 9, 1940 - January 14, 2013), of Galicia, Spain, was a member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 1999 and is the president of Galician Coalition (a regionalist political party now integrated in Commitment to Galicia). Posada came to the spotlight in 1994 as he was the first member of the Parliament to use Galician in his spoken and written communications. Galician Coalition ( Galician: Coalición Galega, CG) is a political party in Galiza with a Galician nationalist and centrist ideology. Since 2012 CG is part of the coalition Compromiso por Galicia. History Coalition CG was born as an electoral coalition for the municipal elections of 1983, formed by the Partido Galeguista (PG) and ex-members of the UCD after the disaster of the party in the 1982 elections. Commitment to Galicia (Spanish: ''Compromiso por Galicia'', CxG) is a Galician political party with a Galician nationalist, progressive ideology. Ideology CxG proposed to reform the Galician electoral law to create a single Galician constituency, in both the autonomic and general elections, the implementation of open lists as well as a better of public transparency and promoting citizenship participation by the ILPs, the removal of the provinces and the limitation of mandates of the elected officials. Reintegrationism
Reintegrationism ( Galician and pt, reintegracionismo; , ) is the linguistic and cultural movement in Galicia which advocates for the unity of Galician and Portuguese as a single language. In other words, the movement postulates that Galician and Portuguese languages did not only share a common origin and literary tradition, but that they are in fact variants of the same language even today. According to this, Galicia should re-integrate into the Community of Portuguese Language Countries. The opposite view holds that Portuguese and Galician should be viewed as distinct languages, which is called Isolationism.
