José Luis Lezama
Doctor José Luis Lezama (born June 4, 1952) is a Mexican researcher in the fields of environmental sciences, urbanism, and demography. Career Doctor José Luis Lezama (born June 4, 1952) earned his PhD in Social Sciences with specialization in Environmental Policy at the Faculty of Environmental Studies, University College London in the United Kingdom. Dr. Lezama was the Director of the Centre for Demographic, Urban and Environmental Studies (CEDUA) of El Colegio de México (2003–2009) and Director of the Interdisciplinary Seminar on Environmental Studies at El Colegio de México. He was visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Department of Air, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, coordinating the Chapter on Environmental Policy and Institutional Analysis in the Mexico City Air Quality Project under the coordination of the Nobel prize Dr. Mario Molina. Environmental Sociology
Environmental sociology is the study of interactions between societies and their natural environment. The field emphasizes the social factors that influence environmental resource management and cause environmental issues, the processes by which these environmental problems are socially constructed and define as social issues, and societal responses to these problems. Environmental sociology emerged as a subfield of sociology in the late 1970s in response to the emergence of the environmental movement in the 1960s. Tenosique, Tabasco
Tenosique is a town located in Tenosique Municipality in the southeastern corner of the state of Tabasco, in Mexico. Its official name is Tenosique de Pino Suárez. The town had a 2020 census population of 34,946 inhabitants (the fourth-largest community in the state after Villahermosa, Cárdenas, and Comalcalco), while the municipality had a population of 62,310. Tenosique's etymology: from the Maya words "Tana" or house and "tsiic" weaving or counting threads. Which leaves us with "casa de los hilanderos " or "House of Weavers or thread counters". Tenosique was founded c. 1000 B.C. in the Preclassic Maya Period (according to Magnolia Paz Nexo in her book ''Tenosique Prehispánico y Colonial'' edited by the Government of Tabasco).
