Joshua Joseph Jason Ishmel Clarke (born 5 July 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right back or right winger. He is a graduate of the Brentford youth system and made over 80 appearances for the club between 2013 and his departure in 2020. After nearly two years out of the game (bisected by a non-playing spell with Wigan Athletic), Clarke dropped into non-League football to transfer to Dartford in 2021, for whom he played until early 2022. Josh Clarke (born 28 July 2004) is a professional footballer currently playing as a goalkeeper for Ayr United, on loan from Celtic. Born in England, he is a former youth international for Sweden and the Republic of Ireland, before opting to play for Northern Ireland in 2021. Early life Clarke was born in London to a Swedish mother, and would visit his maternal grandparents in Skåne County as a child. He attended Shrewsbury House School until the age of 13, when he moved to the St John's School in Leatherhead. Early life Born in Sydney, Clarke studied at The King's School where he was coached by Nancy Atterton, a former sprinter and gold medalist in the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Career Clarke started running at a young age, In December 2010, he set an Under-16 record with a time of 10.72 seconds in the 100m competing for NSW. He competed in the Australian Junior Athletics Championships in the 2012/13 season finishing 3rd overall behind Jarrod Geddes and Hugh Donovan with a time of 10.58 seconds. Hurricane Katrina Clark's book ''Heart Like Water: Surviving Katrina and Life in a Disaster Zone'' was a National Book Critics Circle nominee in the category of Memoir/Autobiography. Clark, who lives in the Vieux Carré Pontalba Buildings overlooking Jackson Square, remained in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina and the collapse of the levees. Refusing to leave the city at an epic time in American history, Clark tape-recorded impressionistic interviews with fellow storm survivors.
