Josh Unice
Josh Unice (born June 24, 1989) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. Unice was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 3rd round (86th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Youth career Unice began his career playing two seasons with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (2005–07), before playing three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League playing with both the Kitchener Rangers and Windsor Spitfires (2007–09). While with the Spitfires, the team won the Ontario Hockey League Championship after the 2008-09 season. University career After his junior career ended, Unice spent his college ice hockey career playing for the University of Western Ontario Mustangs of Canadian Interuniversity Sport for five seasons (2009-2014). CBR Brave
The CBR Brave is a semi-professional ice hockey team based in Canberra, ACT. The team is a member of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). The team was founded in 2014 to replace the defunct Canberra Knights in the AIHL. Their home venue is the Phillip Ice Skating Centre known as ''The Brave Cave''. The Brave have claimed two Goodall Cup championships and three H Newman Reid Trophy premierships. 2007 NHL Entry Draft
The 2007 NHL Entry Draft was the 45th NHL Entry Draft. It was hosted at Nationwide Arena in the city of Columbus, Ohio, on June 22, 2007. The draft consisted of seven rounds with rounds two through seven taking place on June 23, 2007. The draft was televised on TSN and RDS, with the first round simulcasted in the United States on Versus and in Europe on NASN. Columbus Blue Jackets' President and General Manager Doug MacLean and the NHL announced the event on March 21, 2006. On March 13, 2007, it was reported that NHL owners had voted in favor of changes to the team ranking system which would begin at the 2007 draft. Frank Doyle (ice Hockey)
Frank Doyle (born September 8, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Doyle spent his career in the North American leagues before moving to Europe to play. He last played with the Sheffield Steelers in 2015. Playing career Born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Doyle played two seasons with the University of Maine before turning professional in 2004–05 with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. He played in the ECHL All-Star Game that season, and was named Most Valuable Player of the game. He also played in one game with the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL in 2004–05. Elite Ice Hockey League
The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), sometimes referred to as the British Elite League or, for sponsorship reasons, the Viaplay Elite League, is an ice hockey league in the United Kingdom. Formed in 2003 following the demise of the Ice Hockey Superleague, it is the highest level of ice hockey competition in the United Kingdom. Rapid City Rush
The Rapid City Rush are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL based in Rapid City, South Dakota, and play their home games at The Monument. The Rush are currently a minor affiliate of the Calgary Flames NHL franchise. History On June 2, 2007, the Central Hockey League announced an expansion team for Rapid City, which began play in the 2008–09 season. Two months later, the team named Joe Ferras as their head coach and director of hockey operations, and Jason Rent as general manager. Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. As of the end of its final season in 2014, three of the 30 National Hockey League teams had affiliations with the CHL: the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Kansas City Mavericks are an ice hockey team in the ECHL. ECHL
The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. It is a tier below the American Hockey League (AHL).
