Joshua James Rowbotham (born 7 January 1994) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Marske United. Career Born in Stockton-on-Tees, Rowbotham made his senior debut for Hartlepool United Hartlepool United Football Club is a professional association football club based in Hartlepool, County Durham, England. The team competes in EFL League Two, League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system. They were founded i ... in April 2011. He signed a new contract with the club in May 2014. He left the club by mutual consent in October 2014 in order to pursue a career away from professional football; he had been at the club for 11 years. He then played non-league football for Guisborough Town and West Auckland Town. He signed for Billingham Synthonia in February 2015, making 42 appearances for them in all competitions. Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty.
