Joseph Perry (cinematographer)
Joseph Henry Perry (5 August 1863 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, UK – 29 April 1943 in Sydney, Australia) was an English-born New Zealander and Australian cinematographer, entrepreneur and Salvation Army officer. Born to Joseph Perry Sr. and Eliza Hall, his sons Orizaba, Reginald and Stanley also went on to have careers in the Australian film industry. Perry helped establish Australia's first film studio in Melbourne, and went on to make several early multi media presentations for the Army's Limelight Department including with Herbert Booth, '' Soldiers of the Cross''. Perry was responsible for capturing the first ever inauguration of a nation (Australia) recorded on film in history. Perry initiated the setting up of Salvation Army Biorama companies with projection equipment and electric generators, to travel around the country giving presentations. Joseph Sam Perry
Joseph Samuel Perry (November 30, 1896 – February 18, 1984) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Early life and education Born in Carbon Hill, Alabama, Perry was the son of a coal miner named Jack Perry, and Mary Elizabeth Brown. He worked on local farms and in area coal mines before joining the United States Navy and serving in Europe during World War I. After the war, he returned home to finish high school. Perry then earned an Artium Baccalaureus degree Phi Beta Kappa in 1923 from the University of Alabama and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration in 1925. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 1927. Joe Perry (American Football)
Fletcher Joseph Perry (January 22, 1927 – April 25, 2011) was an American professional football player who was a fullback in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and National Football League (NFL). He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1948 to 1960, the Baltimore Colts from 1961 to 1962, and returned to the 49ers in 1963 for his final year in football. He was exceptionally fast, a trait uncommon for a fullback and one which earned him the nickname, "the Jet". The first African-American to be named the NFL Most Valuable Player, he became one of American football's first black stars. After playing a season of football for Compton Junior College, Perry joined the U.S. Navy. While playing football in the military, he was spotted by the 49ers, who signed him into the AAFC. Joseph Anthony Pereira (born September 10, 1950), professionally known as Joe Perry, is an American musician best known as the founding member, lead guitarist, backing and occasional lead vocalist of the rock band Aerosmith. Perry also has his own solo band called The Joe Perry Project, and is a member of the all-star band Hollywood Vampires with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp. He was ranked 84th in ''Rolling Stone'''s list of ''The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time'' and in 2001, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Aerosmith. Joseph 'Joe' C. Perry is an American businessperson and politician from Maine. Perry, a Democrat, served in the Maine Senate from District 32, which included his hometown of Bangor and Hermon. He was first elected to the Senate in 2004 after serving from 8 years (1996-2004) in the Maine House of Representatives representing part of Bangor. He defeated incumbent Republican Senator Tom Sawyer by 280 votes. In 2015, Perry won a seat on the Bangor City Council. In the 124th legislature (2008-2010), Perry served as Senate Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Taxation. In 2010, Perry sought re-election to represent District 32. Joe Perry (born 13 August 1974) is an English professional snooker player from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. Often referred to as "the Fen Potter" and also nicknamed "the Gentleman", Perry climbed the rankings steadily after turning professional in 1992 and reached the Top 16 for the first time in 2002. His first ranking final came at the 2001 European Open and he had to wait another 13 years for a second which came at the 2014 Wuxi Classic.
