Joseph Anthony McDonald (born July 5, 1929) is a former front office executive in American Major League Baseball. McDonald served as general manager of three MLB clubs between 1975 and 1992, and had a long career in the game as an administrator and a scout. Born in Staten Island, New York City, he is a 1951 graduate of Fordham University. Long career with New York Mets He played prominent roles in the New York Mets' organization during his tenure there between 1962 and 1980. McDonald was the Mets' administrative secretary, minor league clubs, where he dealt with farm system operations in 1965– 66. In 1967, he was the director of scouting. Joseph McDonald (10 February 1929 – 7 September 2003) was a Scottish footballer who played for Sunderland and the Scotland national football team. He was born in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. Playing career He started his footballing career with Falkirk in 1951. He went on to make 79 appearances without scoring for the club. He joined Sunderland in 1954. McDonald made his debut on 16 April 1954 in a 2–2 draw against Sheffield United at Roker Park. He made 155 Sunderland appearances scoring once. He joined Nottingham Forest making 109 appearances for them from 1958 until 1961 without scoring,. He was a member of their 1958-59 FA Cup winning team. Forest were 2-0 up after 14 minutes. Luton Town hit back midway through the second half after Forest's opening goalscorer Roy Dwight broke his leg in the 33rd minute. Joseph P. McDonald (born July 21, 1966) is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2011. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, McDonald represents District 29A northwest of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, which includes the cities of Delano and Rockford and parts of Wright, Meeker, and Hennepin Counties. Early life, education, and career McDonald was born in Watertown, Minnesota, to parents of Irish descent. His father, K. J. McDonald, served as a Minnesota state representative from 1977 to 1991, and as Watertown mayor. McDonald graduated from Hennepin Technical College with an A.A. in photography. Joseph Maurice McDonald (July 14, 1917 – August 6, 1997) was an American mobster and a charter member of the Winter Hill Gang. Early life McDonald was born in 1917 in Somerville, Massachusetts. He was of Scottish people, Scottish and Irish people, Irish descent. Winter Hill Gang McDonald was one of the originators of the Irish people, Irish/Italians, Italian Winter Hill Gang and was a close friend and mentor to mob bosses James "Buddy" McLean, Buddy McLean and Howie Winter. A veteran of World War II, McDonald was a skilled contract killer. In 1963, he escaped from prison while serving a 12 to 18 year sentence for armed robbery. Along with twenty-one other associates, including Winter, McDonald was indicted on charges of race fixing, fixing horse races in 1979. He subsequently went on to be a fugitive in Florida.
