Joseph Hamilton (American Football Coach)
Joseph L. Hamilton (April 1, 1919 – December 15, 2014) was an American football coach. Hamilton was the fourth head football coach at Ithaca College located in Ithaca, New York, serving for five seasons, from 1951 to 1955, and compiling a record of 7–22–3. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. Ithaca is a city in the Finger Lakes region of New York, United States. Situated on the southern shore of Cayuga Lake, Ithaca is the seat of Tompkins County and the largest community in the Ithaca metropolitan statistical area.
